Personal Finance Challenge
The Personal Finance Challenge, sponsored by the Nebraska Council on Economic Education, features teams of high school students from across Nebraska, testing their knowledge of economics and personal finance. Top-scoring teams move on to face-to-face competition at three regional sites in April with the winner advancing to the national competition in May. Contributions to NEST 529 college savings plans are presented to members of the top three winning teams.

The Nebraska Council on Financial Education is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the economic and financial literacy of Nebraska students. The Council is based at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with centers at UNL, UNO, UNK, Wayne State College, and Chadron State College.
Lessons Learned in the Finance Challenge
Anthony Hare and Bailey O'Connor, two students in the UNL College of Business Administration, share lessons they learned by competing in the Personal Finance Challenge. They were members of the Alliance High School team that won first-place in 2016 in Nebraska.
Big News for Finance Challenge
Schools from across the United States were invited to the 2018 National Personal Finance Challenge at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. The national competition will again be at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. on May 10, 2019.

Highlights of the 2018 National Personal Finance Challenge, which took place May 10-11 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, are captured in the "Challenging Students, Challenging States" PowerPoint presentation. Winners received NEST 529 college savings accounts in the national competition, hosted by the Nebraska Council on Economic Education.
