NEST 529 College Savings Plan Kicks Off
Fall Festivities with Scholarship Photo Contest
5 Scholarship Winners to Receive $1,000 each to NEST 529 Account

First National Bank of Omaha and Nebraska State Treasurer Don Stenberg today announced the launch of the NEST 529 Fall Festivities Photo Drawing, a new scholarship opportunity open to families across the United States.

Beginning September 25, NEST 529 invites families to submit photos of fall scenes captured by or starring children 8 years old or younger, accompanied by short captions. The contest closes November 10, 2018. Five randomly selected winners each will be awarded a $1,000 NEST 529 contribution. Entries will be accepted by mail and online at www.NEST529.com/scholarships.

To qualify, each photo must focus on a fall theme and must include or be taken by the child who will become the beneficiary of the NEST 529 account, should the entry be one of the winners.

“The Fall Festivities drawing introduces kids to the idea of saving for college from a young age, while encouraging family dialogue and participation in a fun activity,” said Treasurer Stenberg, Trustee of NEST. “We take pride in providing families with unique scholarship opportunities throughout the year, and we are eager to see families engage in a new creative activity that can help boost their college savings efforts.”

“At NEST 529, we strive to empower families as they pursue their academic and financial goals,” said Deborah Goodkin, Managing Director, Savings Plans, First National Bank of Omaha. “Fall is a season full of family celebration, from apple picking to trick-or-treating. The Fall Festivities contest is a wonderful opportunity for families to capture autumn memories while preparing for their loved ones’ academic future.”

Scholarship rules and details are available at www.NEST529.com/scholarships and here.
