Heritage with Scholarship Ceremony at Nebraska State Fair
Six Young Nebraskans Each Awarded a $1,000 NEST 529 Account Contribution

Nebraska State Treasurer John Murante and First National Bank of Omaha today announced the winners of the NEST on the Farm Fun Photo $1,000 Drawing. In a ceremony this morning at the Nebraska State Fair, Treasurer Murante congratulated the six young winners, and awarded each a NEST 529 account contribution.

For the fifth year running, the drawing has encouraged Nebraskans 13 years old and younger to explore their agricultural heritage and academic dreams with a farm-themed photo submission. The winners are as follows:

“Nebraska’s roots are deeply embedded in farming and agriculture. This Drawing is an annual opportunity to share in the joys and aspirations of our community – and the Nebraska State Fair is the perfect setting to honor all who participated,” said Nebraska State Treasurer John Murante. “It is with great pride that NEST 529 is able to contribute to each winner’s college savings, and to spark conversations about planning for the academic future. My best wishes to all young Nebraskans preparing for a new school year and for higher education.”
